Gabriel Campos Santos, a composer, arranger, educator, and versatile instrumentalist embodies an emerging talent recognized for his boundless creativity and relentless pursuit of self-improvement.
His profound love for film music and his innate ability to translate ideas into expressive tunes facilitate seamless communication with filmmakers. Drawing inspiration from modern maestros like James Newton Howard, Alexandre Desplat, John Powell, and Hans Zimmer, Santos distinguishes himself through the fusion of orchestral compositions and electronic sonic landscapes.
Born to Colombian parents in Canada, Santos returned to Colombia at the tender age of three. Raised in an artistic milieu shaped by his father, a composer, and his mother, an architect, he was immersed in creativity from an early age.
At 17, Santos decided to return to Canada, seeking to enrich his musical education. He pursued several programs, earning a diploma in composition for film music from the University of Sherbrooke and a second-cycle diploma in film music composition from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Under the tutelage of esteemed composers such as Robert Marcel Lepage, Benoit Groulx, Maxime Goulet, Mathieu Lavoie, and Luc St.Pierre, among others, Santos honed his craft.
Driven by a life philosophy that cherishes each fleeting moment, Gabriel Campos Santos is dedicated to leveraging music as a powerful tool for uniquely narrating stories. He aims to craft musical experiences that endure in memory, leaving an indelible mark on the listener's soul.
